SA Student Graduates With Honours Degree After 4 Heart Surgeries

Laura-Anne Hunter, a post-graduate of Wits University, has inspired many Mzansi citizens with her remarkable path.

Laura graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Honours degree in Journalism and Media Studies from Wits University despite having undergone four major heart surgeries. Laura suffers from Pulmonary Atresia, which makes her more susceptible to the c.o.r.o.n.a.v.i.r.u.s than the average person, according to News24. Laura went through the most during her studies, having just had surgery and then been attacked by the pandemic.
